We’ve got word of a new concept that will please both mind and mouth. Union/Pine, Ned Ludd and Merit Badge are taking the dinner party trifecta—”great food, tasty libations and inspired conversation”—to a whole new level with their monthly dinner series, “Association”. The first dinner, on March 17th, will feature food by Jason French of Ned Ludd and custom cocktails by Merit Badge. Inaugural guest speaker, William Deresiewicz, will discuss his New York Times piece, “A Matter of Taste?”, which focuses on food replacing art as high culture. Basically, “Association” is bringing all of our dream soirees into fruition! Tickets are $75, and include three drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert. And for those looking to live their Sunday nights to the fullest, the bar will be open all night for additional drink purchases (or swaps).
Future “Association” events will feature dinners by Biwa, Crown Paella, Wildwood and guest speakers from Wieden + Kennedy, Nike, Instrument and Creative Mornings, among many others (Jelly Helm is already officially slated for the May dinner). And because ambiance is everything, these events will be designed and outfitted by some of the most notable tastemakers in town (Bird Dog Creative, Osmose Design and Commonwealth Vintage Rentals, to name a few).
Tickets will be available THIS Friday, and we have a feeling they’re going to sell out pretty quickly. Oh, and if any of you are looking for some dates to this event, we’ll happily volunteer ourselves. (We’re running on a bit of a tight budget lately!)
