Looking for something a bit different to do this evening? Well, Portland Art Museum will be hosting a happy hour for Portland’s after-work crowd. Now, before your mind starts conjuring images of people sipping Pinot Noir while analyzing abstract paintings, let us warn you that this will probably be one of the raunchiest happy hours you’ll ever attend.
In celebration of the Body Beautiful in Ancient Greece exhibit that’s currently going on, which features more than 120 objects from the British Museum’s collection of Roman and Greek art, the Portland Art Museum is putting on a steamy, provocative social mixer that highlights the beauty of the human body. While you sip on adult beverages, you can watch live dancers, The Bawdy Beautiful Review, put on a choreographed floorshow, displaying extreme examples of the human physique. You can then join the sexy members of The Bawdy Beautiful Review on the floor while you dance to DJ Zimmie. Basically, it’s a toga party, strip club, art exhibit and nightclub all rolled into one big party. As the Portland Art Museum puts it, “IT’S GREEK. IT’S FREAK. IT’S CHEEK TO CHEEK. IT’S HAPPY HOUR WITH AN EDGE.”
Entry is $7 for members of the museum, $10 for non-members. You can get them ahead of time right here or when you arrive at the museum. Also, if you show your Thursday night paid admission ticket to the Body Beautiful exhibit (which looks fantastic, by the way), you’ll receive free admission to this not-so-average happy hour.
