Calling all long and lean makers of the world! The creative geniuses behind Official Mfg Co. (OMFGCO) have teamed up with Portland apparel company, Bridge & Burn, to fashion a Worker’s Uniform for the tall and lanky folks. The exclusive collaboration includes a shop jacket, worker’s shirt, work pants and shop apron. With OMFGCO’s impressive resume (Ace Hotel, Stumptown Coffee, Olympic Provisions) and Bridge & Burn’s clean, well-crafted pieces, this pairing is a match made in utilitarian heaven.
The specific desire to create the Worker’s Uniform stemmed from the lack of well-fitting (yet tasteful) outfit options for the long limbs of OMFGCO’s Fritz Mesenbrink and Jeremy Pelley. Designing a custom workwear collection with Bridge & Burn allowed Fritz and Jeremy the chance to create pieces that would stand up to the hardest days at work while not compromising their personal styles. The pants, jacket and shirt in the Worker’s Uniform all have more length added to the inseams and sleeves than the typical pieces in Bridge & Burn’s collection. The apron (along with the pants and jacket) is made of a sturdy khaki cotton twill and features plenty of pockets that are lined with a classic striped linen (which is also the material of the shirt). Want to order some for yourself? The pieces will be sold through Bridge & Burn, OMFGCO and at select retailers throughout the country (including Need Supply, RBWNYC, and Seedstore).
And to celebrate the official launch, head to Bridge & Burn on 1122 SW Morrison THIS Friday from 4-8PM and enjoy some complementary (and extremely appropriate for the occasion) PBR’s!
