Art Basel we – got – wild! Nasty Woman was not only a party, but it was a legendary fashion & art show that turned into a women’s rally. We are still shook!
This December 9th, at Art Basel Miami, Vulgar, and EYES & EDGE magazines, joined forces to create an experiential event through fashion, music, and art. Nothing short of impactful—the evening showcased a raucous blend of juxtapositions: Sophisticated, and sexy. Professional, and provocative. The message was clear, (shouted loud over throbbing beats, with a picket sign and a g string,): “Gender “norms” need not limit expression”—and team #theNASTYWOMAN is here to embrace that.
This editorial is inspired by the pain and suffering of a Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, using as inspiration the corsets, harnesses and orthopedic braces that he carried for walking, part of the inspiration is one of the most important works of the author “la columna rota” painting that portrays in a perfect way the suffering that the painter wore, the pieces and accessories used recreate this scene, combining the fashion with industrial touches in a typical Mexican exterior space.
