Anderson .Paak is probably one of my favorite artists of all time. Hands down this man has some of the grooviest and funkiest songs I can possibly think of. From start to finish he was on fire pulling moves left, right and center making that stage his own. With a crazy energy that carries throughout his entire set, Anderson .Paak is someone who knows the art of music very, very well. Within his funkier songs he plays heavy on the drums and really shows the people how talented of a drummer he is. Within is more vocal heavy songs .Paak likes to take to the stage giving the crowd everything he’s got. The Free Nationals are probably the greatest backing band out there on tour right now. He’s got a very good talent mix of musicians that just know how to make every song a good one. As a whole band, these guys are nothing short of perfection. Not to mention that most of their songs have both drums and vocals at the same time, doing those simultaneously is a feat on its own. Not to mention that I caught one of his drum sticks at the end of the set and I also managed to snag a setlist off the stage. All in all I think this was the best possible artist to end the festival.

If you enjoy electronic music that packs a heavy punch, then Magic Sword is right up your alley. I had no idea what to expect going into this set as I only skimmed a song of theirs off Spotify and really just wanted to go see them for their interesting outfits as you can see from the pictures. But wow was I ever blown away by what these guys can do, I was dancing non stop for their entire set. They bring the sheer raw power and force that heavy electronic dubstep provides and mix it perfectly with distorted heavy rock. Having just a guitar, drums and keys/computer these guys put their everything into these shows. Creating a story from start to finish with their music, they clearly want to do more than just play songs. This builds into a journey and hopefully everyone can eventually join them on it.
Bringing every ounce of guitar skill that she could hold, Tash Sultana took Sasquatch and made it her own. From start to finish she rocked the stage with ongoing heavy solos and crazy looping patterns that only Tash can understand. The longer you stuck around her set the more meshed into her music you became, by the end of the set you really feel like you are on with her and one with her music. If you ever get the chance to see Tash live I would say go for it because she is an awesome performer and really loves to make the crowd happy.
Tokimonsta is probably the set I’m going to cherish the most out of any artist this year. Her music carries me through a lot of emotions and really sticks it in my heart. Being the absolute monster on the decks that she is I was blown away by her mixing and song creation skills.
Now a lot of people are unaware that Tokimonsta AKA Jennifer Lee was diagnosed with Moyamoya disease back in 2015 which caused her to undergo two separate brain surgeries in January of 2016. That eventually led her unable to speak or hear any types of music. Knowing this alone you would think that someone couldn’t come back from this, at least not for a couple of years. But Jennifer is no ordinary human being. She took on world tours later that year and even performed at Coachella that following April after her brain surgeries. So, getting to see Tokimonsta play a live set knowing everything she’s gone through I feel very, very fortunate.
Tyler The Creator brings this wild energy that just makes you wanna go crazy. That’s what I would describe Tyler the creator as, Crazy. This being the fourth time seeing Tyler The Creator I’ve had the pleasure of seeing him progress over the years into an amazing artist that performs on a very high level. Bringing a wild energy unlike any other, the fans of Tyler The Creator stop at nothing to make sure the crowd has some fun. Tyler controls the crowd with his music unlike no other, with songs fast and slow he’s always got control.
